The Oriflame Catalogues are of course, a great way to really sell products to your customers and they create revenue very well for you. However, they are by no means the only way. There are many other options available to assist you with getting those sales. Remember, you started this to earn money and to do that, you need to put in as much effort as is possible to fit around your circumstances. The more you do, the bigger the bank balance at the end of the month.
Here, WE have compiled a list of my top 6 recommendations. The more of these you do, the greater your chances will be of successful selling. Keep checking back to the blog though as I will add to the list as and when I find something new and interesting that works. If you are an Oriflame Consultant, please feel free to comment with any ideas that you have that are working for you. I’d be happy to hear them.
1) Demonstration
Display Products for existing or potential new customers to sample. Use this method alongside your catalogues. Maybe keep a bag with you whenever you’re out and about, or doing door to door. Include some of the best sellers and all the demonstration products available to you from the Product News, which you purchase at 40% less than the RRP. One of my customers really wanted to buy the Adaptive Foundation, but was unsure as it was quite expensive. I let her sample mine so she knew exactly what the product would achieve for her. After using the foundation, she was convinced and the very next day, she placed her order, not only for the foundation, but for the make-up base that accompanies it. Bang!!
2) Samples
Along similar lines as the demonstration products, place the little sample packets or fragrance vials in with a customers order or in the catalogues you hand out. Make sure you note down which samples you have given and to who so that you know ‘exactly’ what the product is when you find it written down on the next order form from that customer. You’ll be surprised how well this works.
3) Offering Incentives
People love incentives, and it’s a great way to gain those extra sales, especially when the prize is a product from the Oriflame catalogue. There are many ways to offer incentives. Perhaps adapt the football card idea or raffle where you create an A4 sheet with lots of squares on. Type a different product into each box and charge say £2 per square, making sure you note who has brought which square. The winner gets drawn out at a specified time and they win the product on the square that they have picked.
Another great way is to offer discounts to your loyal customers of say 10% off orders over £15 or whatever amount you feel is right. Again, offer the same discounts or a free product if they order from three or four consecutive catalogues.
Maybe you have customers who work in large office buildings or have lots of contacts of their own, ask them to show the catalogue around to everyone they know and if they get a certain level of orders, they get a discount on their own order. You can set your own levels of discount or freebies depending on your targets and the amount of sales you want to achieve.
3) Social Media
With today’s world being all about the Internet and the World Wide Web, you really do have loads and loads of useful options to look at to get those sales raging online. Many websites have specifics of what you can and can’t do on their pages so please be mindful of this. Oriflame themselves offer lots of useful tools for you to use also, for example you can access an online catalogue and send the link to everyone in your address book or contact list to spread the word. They also give you access to a Personal Homepage, which you can make your home for your Oriflame Business and share around all over the internet.
If you have Facebook, you can incorporate a special page just for Oriflame. For an example look at one of mine. Not only does this allow you to show all your friends what you’re selling but also opens up a potentially huge customer base. There are nearly 40 million users on Facebook in the UK alone according to sources. I mean 40 million!!!!!!! WOW. If you keep your page updated with lots of new and interesting material, get everyone you know to share your page etc you can accumulate so many new customers this way. Amazing results.
There are so many other ways to promote your business. You can create a blog, your own personal website and so on. As long as you always REMEMBER to never use the word Oiflame in any domain name that you create, the world is your oyster.
4) FaceBook widgets
Again, using Facebook or even on your blog, there are lots of ways to promote yourself. These come in the form of widgets and can be lots of fun. They help to boost your sales and engage existing and new customer. Do your research on Google, there is plenty of advice available to help you set these up.
5) Girly Nights, Pamper Party, Fundraising Events and School/Child Care Facilities
Get the girls together; put on a bit of a spread, few glasses of wine, you can even get the men involved too. Why not hey, we cater for them too. Having parties is a very fun way to sell Oriflame products. Everyone is relaxed and in an environment where they feel as ease without the pressure. Parties obviously work best if you have a good selection of products to demonstrate. Everyone can sample various bits and bobs at their own pace, no pressure and it’s a great way to get new customers from your own circle friends that haven’t previously been buying from you.
Another great way to generate extra sales and customers is to hold a fund raising event at your local place of worship. They rely on the generosity of others for funding. Hold a table with a selection of products, reading material and catalogues and donate a percentage of all sales made to the church or charity of their choice. This not only attracts new sales, but will also help boost your recruitment figures too.
6) Word of mouth
My final and by far the most effortless of all is to just ‘TELL EVERYBODY’ People often forget to talk about what they do, or feel uncomfortable talking about themselves but you have to. If you are positive about Oriflame and being an Oriflame Consultant, it attracts people to you. You will always come across someone that has been looking for an Oriflame Consultant for ages, or used to have one and they have lost contact, or no longer sell Oriflame. Its surprising the amount of people that will be over the moon to have discovered you. Oriflame is a well known brand so talk about it to everyone you meet, the check out girl at the supermarket, the receptionist at the school office, mommy and toddler groups. The more people that know you sell the Oriflame, the more customers you will gain. Its so easy to do. Its effective, and its FREEEEE!!
